Film
An artistic medium where all kinds of people can view the same material and come away with totally different messages.  Film takes us to places we'd never be able to see otherwise.  It's a transcendent art form combining multiple disciplines to create one product.  It is something I love precisely because a good film will ensnare the imagination, provoke an emotional response, make my blood pressure rise or stay with me long after the end credits.

Detroit
A city that struggled for years before the recession hit the rest of the country and will continue to struggle long after everyone else pulls themselves out of it.  Why?  Because it never looked to diversification.  Reliance on one industry does not make for long-term prosperity.  Plus, everyone with the means moved out of the city proper a long time ago and the area has obviously gone downhill.  I also think of corruption from the mayor to city council.  They're a joke.

Actually very good in the last month or so. 

Truth
The most important thing in the world.  To be honest (hehehe...), I am unable to tell a lie, even to help myself in the long run.  I have been accused of not being able to sugarcoat, which is true.  If you can't take the honesty, then you don't want to know me.  It's a blessing and a curse, I think.  However, if you want an answer, you have to ask a specific question. 

Eye-Candy
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.  There are times something catches my eye-a person, an object, an idea-that may not be appealing to someone else...but something compels me to see "other" beauty.  I hope I'm not as shallow as Man of the Week would have some people believe.  And I also hope everyone who follows MotW knows that, too.
